1 80m, 3.615Mc/s Crystal Controlled Signal Source for AM
This is a 3.615Mc/s crystal controlled oscillator followed by a loosely coupled buffer stage for a high level of isolation and stability for use as an accurate signal source or the first stage of an 80m AM transmitter. The unit is very similar to the 60m version with some component changes. It is based on the "Pixie" pcb but with many component changes to suit this purpose. The board measures 2" square and is supplied with the dc supply and output leads which plug in to the board. The crystal fitted to the board is a 3.615Mc/s, HC49U with 30pF parallel loading with a frequency stability of +/- 10ppm between -10 and +60C.
The DC supply to the board is 9 to 14v and it outputs a pure sine wave of about 5v Peak to Peak at 13.8v.
The board is reverse polarity protected as long a fuse of no more than 250mA is in the supply line.
