This was my first AM transmitting set up in 1969 for 2 metres. It consisted of an R1155 receiver with a home brew valve power supply and af amplifier and all valve 2m converter both shown above the receiver. The transmitter was a home brew unit with a QQVO6-40 in the PA using tuned lines rather than the lumped tuned circuits which made it quite efficient. The TX used series gate AM modulation which produced about 90 watts peak dc input. The microphone was a BM-3 crystal which was very popular in the sixties. Sadly I have no pictures of the TX which was to the left of the picture out of shot.
